Grow Beautiful Bromeliads in Pots
The majority of bromeliad plants offered for
sale to homeowners are “epiphytes” or air plants. Meaning, in their native habitats they would not be found growing in the
soil or on the ground, but rather would be attached by special root
structures to trunks and branches of trees.
Plantastic BROMELIAD MIX is a free-draining soil-less mix that lets you grow these exotic beauties in pots so you can enjoy them indoors. Plantastic BROMELIAD MIX provides adequate anchorage for big and small bromeliads not meant to grow in soil. It has enough compaction to hold the plant erect, gives good aeration, good drainage, has adequate water retention, and has low pH giving your plant a suitable home to grow.
Suggested Retail Price:
Php 69.75 (6 liter bag)

Bromeliads: All bromeliads bloom only once in their lives but
are easily propagated. Soon after blooming, plants sprout “pups” at the
base of the original bromeliad or mother plant. Pups usually emerge near
the edge of the pot. They should be allowed to grow until they are
one-third to one-half the size of the mother plant and have several sets
of leaves. When it’s time, use clippers to separate the pup from the
mother plant and pot up in Plantastic Bromeliad Mix. In
a few months, your new pups will produce new and fabulous blooms of
their own.
The mother plant will continue to produce new pups until it withers away.
